Did you know that the prayer we all know as the "Serenity Prayer" is longer? Maybe you did, but I didn't and those I talked to didn't either. I want to share it with you.....
The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change;
courage to change the things I can;
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time;
Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace;
Taking, as He did, this sinful world
as it is, not as I would have it;
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with Him
Forever in the next.
Amen.

That is beautiful! I had no idea that there was more to it. Thank you for showing me. It is funny, because I wear a bracelet every day that has the first part of the prayer on it, but now I can think about the rest of the words too.
ReplyDeleteHow are you doing? I know that you had recently gotten some bad news. I hope you are okay.
