Technology

Today we have so many options for fertility and options to prevent our fertility from working....IUI, IVF, clomid, femera, Follistim, charting, temp taking, pregnancy tests so cheap we can test every day (sometimes several times a day)....birth control pills, condoms, IUD, and a variety of other birth controls.

In some ways we are helped by "technology" and in others we are greatly hurt by it. There was a time when if God wanted you to have a baby you had one, even if you didn't own your house, even if you were just a year into your marriage, even if you were 40 and ready to send your "baby" to college. When you did find out you were pregnant, it wasn't after using 100 pregnancy tests within days after implantation, it was two months or three into your pregnancy and when you found out you rejoiced....you didn't question or worry the way we do now knowing all that we know. A part of me wishes we all had that innocence and trust. But a part of me is happy for at least some of the advances because without them I wouldn't have my "baby".

May God allow all moms and pregnant woman peace tonight, knowing that their "baby" is in God's hands.
Laus Deo!
