Since there may be a few extra visitors to my blog this week, I just wanted to give a summary of what I blog about.
My husband and I have been married almost 12 years, we have dealt with infertility that entire time. Our DD took 18 cycles and clomid to conceive, during our months of trying I was diagnosed with PCOS by a RE (that diagnosis has been confirmed by two other REs). Since having her we have tried for 9 1/2 years for another. Most recently, June, July, and August 2009, we did a cycle of injections with TI....it didn't work and then in September my husband was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease and MFI. It has always been in God's hands, but now more than ever. Because of our faith we won't go beyond injections with TI, but our RE won't allow us to do anymore injection cycles with TI, it has to be IUI and even then we are told it probably won't work. We are extremely blessed with our girls and I'm thankful every single day for the blessings we have. My heart still breaks that we won't have the large family we always dreamed of and we won't have the son that everyone, including both sets of grandparents, has dreamed of. We will never "give up" trying. We put all our faith in God and pray that he has one more miracle left for us.
Laus Deo!

I'm sorry about your struggle to have another child. While you can take some comfort in the fact that you already have two beautiful daughters, I know that doesn't help with the yearning for another child.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get your 3rd miracle.

Many hugs to you both. I have polycystic disease and it definitely is a lot to get one's head around.

As a fellow Catholic I can relate to quicker end of the line we have compared to others. I hope this call brings some good news and you get a successful cycle. :-)

We've been TTC for 3.5 years and became parents 8 months ago through the miracle of open adoption. But we too have the "we'll never stop trying" attitude. Good luck to you!
