Baby things

I know it is very very very early since right now there is no way I'm pregnant yet! But I was looking online at baby things. It is amazing how much is out now that wasn't available when my girls were born. We are just planning on buying the basics....a crib, changing table (that is attached to a dresser for baby clothes), and a swing! My daughter's both loved their bouncy chairs, so that might be something we get later on!

I have seen some really neat things that I would like, but probably don't need. They now make playpens (which I never had with either daughter) with a changing table and bassinet attached! They now play music and vibrate too! They now have monitors with images and not just sound! It is amazing all the products there are to choose from.

We have gone back and forth as to if we will find out if the baby is a girl or boy. I would like to know so we can buy clothes for that particular gender and not just neutral items. But on the other hand I would love the surprise when they are born! A friend had the suggestion that I have them put the sex into an envelope and I give it to whomever would like to throw a baby shower and they will tell everyone what I'm having so that when I get to the shower I will be surprised! I would love to have a baby shower, but I would be thrilled just to be blessed with another child!

I was just looking at some things for my neighbor's baby and discovered that you can also send e-card announcements from the Fisher Price website!!!!! With our younger daughter we couldn't wait and called everyone before the test was even dry! This time around we are hoping to wait and tell them in a very unique way....something they will always remember. DH would like to wait until we are three months along before saying anything, but I'm not sure I can wait that long. I am hoping to wait until our first ultrasound which would probably be around 6 weeks because we are doing fertility treatments and they are probably going to want to check for multiples! I want to use the ultrasound pictures in some way to make the announcement.
